In high school baseball action, Somerset secured a decisive 13-3 victory over Casey Co. in a game broadcast live on Somerset 106.1 FM & Somerset106.com. Additionally, Pulaski County dominated with a 10-0 win over Rockcastle County in 6 innings, while Wayne County narrowly edged out Southwestern with a 5-4 victory in an intense 11-inning game.

On the softball field, Pulaski Co. Lady Maroons emerged victorious with a 9-7 win against Rockcastle Co., while Southwestern Lady Warriors dominated McCreary Central with a commanding 14-1 victory in just 5 innings. Somerset Christian School Lady Cougars secured a close 3-2 win over Wayne Co.

In UK Basketball news, shooting guard Collin Chandler has been released from his national letter of intent at BYU and will be joining new UK basketball coach Mark Pope at Kentucky. Chandler, ranked No. 33 overall in the 2022 class, was considered the top recruit in Utah and the sixth overall combo guard.
