In high school softball action over the weekend, the Pulaski County Lady Maroons secured a dominant 10-0 victory over Wayne County in just five innings, while the Southwestern Lady Warriors edged past Casey County with a 13-11 win. Somerset Lady Briar Jumpers had a mixed bag, triumphing over Holy Cross 14-0 but then falling to Raceland 9-1 and Hancock County 15-4 in the All A Classic. Additionally, Russell County defeated Southwestern 14-6, and Somerset Christian School Lady Cougars emerged victorious with a 2-0 win over Heritage Christian.

Turning to high school baseball, Whitley County narrowly edged Somerset 6-5, while Southwestern claimed a 7-4 victory over Casey County.
