Tourism groups celebrate new wayfinding signage system on Lake Cumberland with ribbon cutting

JAMESTOWN, KENTUCKY (June 16, 2025) — Russell, Pulaski, Wayne, Clinton and McCreary counties, in partnership with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, will celebrate the installation of a new wayfinding signage system across Lake Cumberland with a ribbon cutting on Wednesday, June 18.

This ARPA-funded tourism project through the Kentucky Department of Tourism allowed these counties on Lake Cumberland to enhance navigation with 75 sign locations and 20 informational kiosks. The signage will improve water safety and support emergency response efforts across the region. 

The event is hosted by Lake Cumberland Tourist Commission, Somerset Pulaski County Convention & Visitors Bureau (Lake Cumberland Tourism) and See Somerset Tourism.
