In Tuesday’s high school basketball action, the Rockcastle Co. Lady Rockets defeated the Somerset Lady Briar Jumpers with a score of 69-23, leaving Somerset at 1-11. Sarah White led the Lady Jumpers with 9 points. On the boys’ side, Somerset secured a victory against Rockcastle Co. with a score of 81-61. Indred Whitaker led Somerset with an impressive 29 points, including 6 three-pointers, while Ben Godby contributed 23 points and Aedyn Absher added 14 points. Somerset’s record improved to 10-3.

Other notable scores included Southwestern’s 52-47 victory over Danville, Wayne Co.’s 82-59 win against Somerset Christian School, and Lincoln Co.’s 52-47 triumph over Pulaski Co.
