NBA Summer League:
- Reed Sheppard was named to the NBA All-Summer League First Team. The former North Laurel Jaguar and University of Kentucky standout averaged 20 points, 5.3 assists, and 4.8 rebounds in four summer league games. He had 11 steals and shot 50% from the field. The team went 2-3 in the summer league games. Sheppard was the overall No. 3 pick by the Houston Rockets in last month’s NBA Draft.
College Football:
- WKU Hilltoppers:
- Five players have been named to the Conference USA Football Preseason Watch List: RB Elijah Young, OL Quantavious Leslie, DL Hosea Wheeler, DB Upton Stout, and Kicker Lucas Carneiro.
- Kicker Lucas Carneiro was chosen as the 2024 CUSA Preseason Special Teams Player of the Year. Last season, Carneiro went 9-12 on field goals and 47-47 on PATs.
- The team is picked to finish second behind Liberty in CUSA play.
