In regional basketball tournaments, Wednesday’s action featured the Boys 12th Region tournament at Pulaski County High School, where the Pulaski County Maroons secured a dominant 71-44 victory over Boyle County. Mercer County also emerged victorious, defeating the Southwestern Warriors with a final score of 55-42, marking the end of Southwestern’s season at 14-17. Looking ahead, Thursday’s Boys 47th District tournament promises more excitement, featuring matchups between the Somerset Briar Jumpers and Trinity Christian Academy Titans, followed by Wayne Co. Cardinals against Danville Christian Academy Warriors. Friday’s semifinals in the Girl’s 12th Region Basketball Tournament at Lincoln Co. High School will see matchups between Danville Christian Academy Lady Warriors and Rockcastle Co. Lady Rockets, as well as Southwestern Lady Warriors facing off against West Jessamine Colts.
