SCC Theatre and Film presents ‘Greater Tuna’- A hilarious journey into small-town life

Somerset, KY – Get ready for a night filled with laughter as SCC Theatre & Film Department presents “Greater Tuna,” an uproarious two-person comedy that captures the charming quirks of small-town life in Tuna, Texas, the third-smallest town in the Lone Star State.

This entertaining production will feature the talented Scott Presley and Brad Schoolcraft on March 27, 28, and 30. Through their incredible versatility, Presley and Schoolcraft will portray over twenty unique characters and around fifty total costume changes, each bringing to life the satirical and heartwarming essence of Southern small-town America.

“The script has been on my desk for about two years, but I’ve wanted to do the show since 2016 when I was backstage for it in college,” Thomas Alvey, SCC Director of Theatre and Film, said. “Scott approached me after he was in last year’s Ten-Minute Play Festival, and asked if I had ever heard of it, and I just laughed and told him I’d been wanting to do it, but didn’t know actors who were ready for that type of commitment. And then, there they were. After spending nearly ten years developing the script at Brad’s house, the community gets to see the talent and hard work on stage.”

With quick costume changes and sharp wit, audiences are in for an unforgettable evening of comedy and camaraderie.

The two actors are accompanied by a small crew, with Stage Manager Renee Daffron and Stagehand Eli Parker, with Thomas Alvey directing the team.
