Event includes scenic rides, entertainment and fellowship for enthusiasts
SOMERSET, KENTUCKY — Nearly 200 motorcyclists will cruise into Somerset this week to take part in the Kentucky Vulcan Riders’ Kentucky-Fied Rally, a three-day event that brings enthusiasts together for camaraderie, scenic group rides and entertainment.
Hosted by the Kentucky Vulcan Riders Chapter 1-12 and presented by Lake Cumberland Tourism, the Kentucky-Fied Rally offers two days of rides with handpicked routes through some of south central Kentucky’s most scenic and historic areas, including Lake Cumberland, Cumberland Falls, The Copperhead Trail, The Rattlesnake, Daniel Boone National Forest, Red River Gorge, Old Fort Harrod, Perryville Battlefield State Park, Tebb’s Bend Battlefield, Natural Arch, the Blue Heron Mining Community and Big South Fork. Many of these rides exceed 100 miles, with each route starting and ending in Somerset. Attractions are recommended to participants in Somerset as well as on their chosen routes.
Dinner and entertainment will follow each evening, with the Courtyard Marriott Somerset serving as the rally headquarters.
“We are thrilled to host the Kentucky Vulcan Riders in Somerset and encourage our businesses and venues to extend a warm welcome to these guests as they explore our community and region,” said Michelle Allen, executive director of Lake Cumberland Tourism. “We hope that as they coast along the many scenic byways that make up this area, they experience the stunning beauty we are blessed to call home and choose to return.”
