Command Sergeant Major Brandon J. Mounce graduated from Southwestern High School in June 1994. He enlisted in the United States Army on 5 Nov 1995 as an 11C, Indirect Fire Infantry, and attended Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Benning, GA. He ETS’d from the Army in 1998. In Aug 2005 he reenlisted and attended 14E AIT at Fort Bliss, TX. CSM Mounce has served in many duty stations and positions to include: Mortar Squad Leader, HHC 2-7 CAV, Fort Hood TX; Engagement Control Team Leader, B Btry, 3-4 ADA, Fort Bragg, NC; Instructor/Writer/Squad Leader, B Btry, 3-6 ADA, Fort Bliss, TX; Senior Instructor, B Btry, 3-6 ADA, Fort Sill, OK; Platoon Sergeant, 32d AAMDC G-3, Fort Bliss, TX; AD Master Evaluator, 32d AAMDC G-3, Fort Bliss, TX; G3 (FWD) NCOIC, 32d AAMDC, Camp Arifjan, Kuwait; 14 CMF Assignment Manager, HRC, Fort Knox, KY; First Sergeant, B Btry, 1-1 ADA, Kadena Air Base, Japan; and is currently the Directorate Sergeant Major, Air and Missile Defense Test Directorate, Fort Bliss, TX. CSM Mounce holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Leadership and Workforce Development from the Command and General Staff College, and an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science from Thomas Edison State University.

CSM Mounce spent 5 years in the Ky National Guard and 24 1/2 years active duty and retired as a Command Sergeant Major, Sep 1, 2025.
CSM Mounce is married to Tara Mounce and they have two children: Elise and Emma.
