FRANKFORT, Ky. (March 13, 2025) – Gov. Andy Beshear has ordered flags at all state buildings lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset Friday, March 14, 2025, in honor of a soldier who died while serving on active duty in Germany.
U.S. Army Maj. Scott Swindell died Feb. 17 in Landstuhl, Germany, while on assignment with the 16th Sustainment Brigade, 21st Theater Sustainment Command.
A graveside service for Swindell will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville.
